Stellenbosch adds value to easy mode this Winter
published on:

An all-round winter Winelands destination, atmospheric Stellenbosch is tempting visitors new and old with cosy fireplaces, good food and wine, and a multitude of experiences from nature to art, shopping and more.

To unlock the experience – and take advantage of the best value deals available over this limited period - Stellenbosch Wine Routes and Stellenbosch 360 have come together to create Reflect, Relax Stellenbosch.

Running until the end of September, Reflect, Relax Stellenbosch invites visitors to experience the City of Oaks through three value-added travel packages ranging from budget-friendly to top-end luxury, including two nights' accommodation, one lunch, one dinner and a selection of two activities. Packages start from as little as R1 300 per person sharing mid-week and R1 500 per person sharing over a weekend.

Travellers can also opt to extend their stay within the package or go beyond the package to add more activities to their ultimate ‘bucket list’. Some items on the wish list include a wine and Turkish Delight pairing at Lourensford, a Boerebraai at Middlevlei and a sample Bites and Sites Tour of Stellenbosch with foodie storyteller Hanlie Fourie. Visitors can get around with Adventure Shop, also offering the Vine Hopper tour – a hop on/hop off bus that takes visitors on a flexi-tour of Stellenbosch’s wine routes.

The packages include a range of accommodation options from budget-friendly Rusthuiz or the beautiful Bonne Esperance to top end luxury with Lanzerac and Majeka House.

CEO of Stellenbosch Wine Routes, Annareth Bolton, comments: “Stellenbosch is a town for all seasons, all ages and all budgets. Wine lovers will relish a pampered luxury weekend break but Stellenbosch is just as fabulous for families looking for outdoor excursions and affordable accommodation.”

Annemarie Ferns, CEO of Stellenbosch 360, adds; “The cooler months offer so much to visitors in Stellenbosch. There is more time to relax and reflect, the restaurants are filled with wonderful aromas and there is so much art to explore.”
