The Momberg family of Middelvlei Wine Estate invites you to join them from Monday to Sunday lunch to be part of a very special, authentic South African outdoor barbecue experience.
An integral part of South African culture is to cook outdoors. Having a braai has evolved into a unique South African social event, family and friends gathering together to share good stories and a special bottle of wine, creating a memorable experience.
Join in the Boerebraai fun at Middelvlei where our resident braai expert will prepare your chops, boerewors and chicken sosaties to perfection. As if the appetising aromas of potbrood and braaibroodjies are not enough, Ben's homemade pâté and Ouma Annie's pumpkin fritters have placed the Middelvlei Braai in a league of its own.

Middelvlei Wine Tasting
The wine tasting centre, a charming building that was once the horse stable for the estate, is open for wine tasting and sales from Monday to Sunday.
A relaxed tasting of 4 wines for R70.00 per person either inside the tasting centre or on the veranda with views of farm life. Add a traditional culinary treat, Potbrood and Snoek pâté, for an additional R50.00 per person.
Cost: R70pp for 4 wines (R110 if you add traditional South African "pot brood" to your tasting)

Something For The Kids
Middelvlei is Family Friendly! While mom and dad relax with a bottle of Middelvlei wine, the kids can have a good time too. The little ones can play in the sandpit, feed the farm animals, enjoy the open space with our lawn games, braai their own marshmallows or even do their own juice tasting!
We also offer lunch options for the kids. Choose between two options:

Wine Blending Experience
Join the Momberg Family for an exciting Middelvlei Wine Blending Experience and become part of the Middelvlei wine-making team!
This unique experience allows you to create a personalized bottle of your own wine to take home. You will receive a selection of blending components with the challenge to create your own blend.
Our famous freshly baked Potbrood and home-made Snoek Pâté is included in this must-do Winelands activity.
The Middelvlei Wine Blending Experience is designed as an activity for two, with the blending kit making a single bottle of wine to take home. Additional bottles can be made up with personalised labels and delivered at an extra charge of R200 per bottle*.
Cost: R350 per person Booking is Essential.

* Deliveries outside of the greater Cape Town area will incur additional courier fees. Collection of your wine upon completion is also an option.

Wine Blending
For larger groups, the Middelvlei Blending Team will divide participants into groups which will compete to make the best blend of the day. This is a great option for team building events!
Blending Session duration is 1½ Hours. Available Tuesdays to Sundays between 12:00am and 15:00pm. Convenient times can be scheduled for groups of 10 or more.
